How to get a CNIC or B-Form
About 7 days
Almost every scholarship asks for your identity document: a B-Form (Child Registration Certificate) if you are under 18, or a CNIC once you are 18.
B-Form (under 18)
- A parent takes your birth certificate (from the Union Council) and both parents' CNICs to a NADRA Registration Centre.
- The parent applies for your Child Registration Certificate.
- Collect it on the date given.
CNIC (18 and over)
- Go to a NADRA Registration Centre with your B-Form and a parent's CNIC (or a blood relative's CNIC for verification).
- Your photo and fingerprints are taken there.
- You can also apply through the Pak-ID app if you already have a B-Form record.
Tips
- Choose normal, urgent or executive processing. Urgent is faster and costs more; check fees at NADRA.
- Check your name spelling carefully. It must match your school certificates and later your passport.
Typical time: about 1 to 3 weeks depending on the processing type.
