How to get a domicile certificate

About 14 days

A domicile certificate proves which district and province you belong to. Provincial scholarships and government quotas depend on it.

Where to go

The District Coordination Officer (DCO) or Deputy Commissioner (DC) office of your district. In Punjab and KP you can also apply through the provincial e-services portal and pick up the certificate later.

What to bring

  1. Your CNIC or B-Form (original and copy)
  2. Father's CNIC copy and, if he has one, his domicile copy
  3. Two passport-size photographs
  4. Proof of residence: utility bill, rent agreement, or property paper
  5. Matric certificate
  6. Application form from the DC office (or printed from the portal) and a PKR 200 to 500 court fee stamp

Steps

  1. Fill the form and attach the documents.
  2. Submit at the DC office counter and collect a receipt.
  3. Some districts verify through the local police station or patwari; keep your phone on.
  4. Collect the certificate on the date on your receipt.

Typical time: 7 to 14 days. If you are under 18, apply on your father's domicile as a dependent.
